Charcoal drawing of work tools

This is a large drawing - around 74x54 cm. I finished it in my class with my teacher Graeme Drendel on Thursday - and I was pretty pleased with it.

Found object as sculpture

So the project in the VCA Studio and Materials class was to take a found object from an opp shop or a $2 shop and present it as a credible item in a gallery - the emphasis on presentation and contextualisation.
A key reference was Haim Steinbach who uses found objects in his work.
Here is my found object, mounted on white perspex. I love the geometry and materiality of the object.

And here is the original purpose

Landscapes Anglesea

I have made collograph plates from milk cartons.
I have been following with disapproval the ongoing operation of the Alcoa facility at Anglesea - and have been supporting the Shut It Down campaign.
Then I realised that the long life milk that I had been drinking was in aluminium lined cartons.
Such irony.
So I took some photos that I had of the landscape around Anglesea and I made some collographs using the cartons showing the landscape that is being degraded.
I have become more attached to the plates than the prints. I have been trying to decide how to arrange and display them They are quite fragile

Below are some of the paper prints
