Learning about Macro Lenses

Tricky beasts macro lenses - much more complex than choosing macro setting on the compact camera -for sure.
Had two tries with the NMIT lense - an expensive f2.8 with some amazing zoom etc.

Assignment - photo journalism

This is the new assignment - capturing the idea of metropolis.
Some people, some architecture.
Not sure yet what I want to settle on for the theme. At the moment trying to understand how to use the DSLR!
