Naples day 2 Gallerie d'Italia

A large bank called Intesa Sanpaolo has created a project which involves the display of its own collection of is called Gallerie d'Italia and is spread over three cities.
In Naples it is housed in the Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano. There were some very beautiful works on display, including the Martyrdom of St Ursula by Caravaggio.
Also on display was a collection of works by Giuseppe Ricco.
The collection included works by Vincenzo Gemito who was working in the late 19th century.
The work by Gemito looks so like the work of William Kentridge.
