Ballarat Photo Biennale
Spent a chilly day in Ballarat looking at the Ballarat Photo Biennale.
A huge variety of exhibitions all within walking distance.
Seems the event gets better every year.
Lots of alternative techniques on display.

Yesterday I put 3 videos on You Tube - a first time for everything. An interesting experience.
They are titled Darebin Parklands 1 ,2 and 3.
This is number 2. I will use it for my sculpture project.

Finished the book tree
Titled Encyclopedic Dictionary M-Z. It was constructed using pages from an old Readers Digest dictionary, litho paper and wire coathangers for an armature. The base is a plank of weathered wood. I am pleased with the outcome.
River - constant source of inspiration

Altered Book project
for my Altered Book project - a grid made from a book called Natural Disasters. Working on this while I fiddle with the main submission which is a based on tree branches made from a book.
A bit hard to assemble and photograph the tree branches. So working on this grid is more manageable.

Progress on the Cotan copy
I have spent ages painting canteloupe pips! Raw umber is a wonderful thing to work with.
The cabbage is looking better and the apple is on its way.

Bookmaking
Created a concertina book and a coptic bound book with Barb Adams last Saturday. The coptic bound book was a challenge!
