Delacroix watercolours

In 1832, Delacroix (1798 –1863) traveled to Spain and North Africa, as part of a diplomatic mission to Morocco shortly after the French conquered Algeria. These are some of his watercolour sketches ... so evocative. I could see these characters and scenes as I travelled in Morocco.

Staircase in Arter gallery Istanbul

We went to this gallery After to see part of the Istanbul Biennale. One of the most beautiful things I saw was this staircase linking the 5 floors of the early 20th century building.
