Flowers

The flirtation with hard edge abstraction did not last long.

Here are some flower paintings in a style that I feel more comfortable with,  inspired by a lovely painter called Lisa Daria.

These are in acrylic and are around 12x12 inches on paper.

Hard Edge Abstraction

I started the day with a palette with 2 colours sap green and burnt sienna and white. Added a cream background gesso.

Determined to create some hard edged abstraction as an exercise.

Did two below

Being messy, I mucked up the centre of the second one.

Which gave me inspiration for the next two - closer to my heart - hard edge abstraction meets lyrical abstract!

We went to Teddy's lookout, Erskine Falls and Blanket Leaf track and saw some stunning sights.

Qdos gallery Lorne

We had a lovely wander in the sculpture garden at Qdos gallery in Lorne. A perfect day.

Going to the beach

Drove to Lorne on Sunday for a few days by the sea.
