Brave New World Australia 1930s
A great exhibition at the NGV Federation Square. Australain art in the 1930s.
It is on until October 15.
An interesting range of painting, fashion, sculpture, film, dance and posters - samples of visual art in the 1930s in Australia.
Among my favourite painters, Clarice Beckett (below)
And a wonderful poster proclaiming Melbourne to be the seventh city of the empire, largely because of the skyscraper depicted in this poster. The Manchester Unity Building!

Jim Dine at the National Gallery of Victoria
How lucky am I to be able to visit the exhibition of Jim Dine prints at the National Gallery of Victoria! I love his use of everday objects as subjects in his work.
