Greg Neville's exhibition
Went to see Greg's exhibition. The Dissolving Man.
A powerful and moving examination of masculinity and introspection. Displayed on three large screens were excepts from a wide range of movies. The images showed head shots of men considering, thinking, in their own worlds. The effect was engrossing and engaging.

Accompanying the 3 channel video was a display of photographs of action hero toys, distorted/posed so as to appear to me vulnerable rather than invincible.
These large prints were quite confronting - and again, very powerful.
So pleased to have gone to this

The China Project
Where to start?
the China Project at the Brisbane GOMA was all that I had hoped, and more.
The range of exciting and eclectic work was stimulating and inspirational.
The work spanned quite a period of time, reflecting different movements in Chinese modern art according to the political and cultural conditions.
My favourites were by Xu Bing A book from the sky
to see it all.
