Met up with Marco Luccio at the NGV.
We were drawing the Louis Duffy 'Christ evicting the money lenders'.
He suggested that we may look Tooker's work.
I Googled it but was not overly taken with it.
We talked about New York, and he suggested we look for the film Manhatta.
Manhatta was a collaboration between painter Charles Sheeler and photographer Paul Strand.
It is on YouTube. And we have viewed it.
Extraordinary! What a wonderful medium YouTube is!
Also he suggested we look at the Morgan Library/Museum in New York. Definitely on our visiting list.
