Painting class - The Golden Mean

This term we started off by looking at the way that artists use the Golden Mean - a method of constructing pictures to conform to a pleasing and balanced creation. It has been used by architects and artists such as Loeonardo Da Vinci - and now us. The class exercise was to create a composition with the theme 'whiteout' using the Golden Mean.
I have chosen to look at 'whiteout' in relation to the aboriginal community.
So I combined images to conform with the Golden mean proportions/positioning. I am now about to paint this.
The spirals and squares demonstrate the underlying framework for positioning parts of the image. They will not be included in the final piece.
