Interesting photo from J Paul Getty Museum

This is called  Infant Photography Gives the Painter an Additional Brush - 1856 it is an albumen print by Oscar Gustave Rejlander who was a painter. The photograph looks like a painting in its composition and content.
He portrays photography as the new infant reaching to the painter and touching his brushes - emphasising the view at the time that Photography was a new child of the arts.
