Last night I went to the opening of two exhibitions at James Makin Gallery in Cambridge St Collingwood.
The two artists were Wayne Viney whose monoprints and oil on board are a huge inspiration.
I loved his series Southern Ocean which he says is "about the sea and the sky and the exploration of colour."
They are strong and delicate; they rally do transport the viewer.
Jenny Rodgerson's works which shows people alone in interior settings are evocative and sensitive. A great feeling of introspection.
The exhibition is on until 23rd June - definitely worth a visit.
