Ready for the next project.

Finished!

Finished eight small works approximately 13x13 cm and four larger works 20x30cm.  They are ready for tomorrow which is curation day.
The desk gets cleaned up tomorrow too.
These works have taken a ridiculously long time to squeeze out.
Finishing them up has been pretty much 7 days straight 6 hours at least a day.
Each has at least 4 layers.
Small does not equal simple I have decided.

In the studio

Over the last month I have been in the studio creating works for the next exhibition. Down to the final details... phew!

Last art class for this year

SO lucky to have had Graeme Drendel as our teacher for this year. A finalist in the Moran Prize. He finished the lesson with a virtuoso demonstration of how to do a self portrait.
I have so appreciated his gentle and generous teaching style.
We are all having a rest until February when classes stsry again.

Forms of Life

An exhibition at the Melbourne Uni Ian Potter Gallery featuring ceramics, painting and drawings based on the relationship between symbols and images of ancient artefacts and contemporary images. Angela Brennan's work is displayed alongside ancient Greek and Cypriot artifacts.
