Incognito Art Show

 My work was chosen to be on the 2023 Incognito Art Show calendar.

Every year artists create works to be sold to raise funds for Studio A. The identity of the contributors is kept secret and the price is fixed at $100. Some of Australia’s well known artists donate their work, and the evening before, queues form outside the gallery to get in early the next day and buy works

According to the website, in 2022 over 1,400 artists contributed over 3,500 artworks to the Incognito Art Show!

Imagine how excited I was to see that one of my works had been chosen for the calendar! (in the image below, second line, fourth from the left)

Painting of a Rose

 I love roses and have many in my garden. In particular I love this Julia's Rose. It changes from orange to a coffee colour as the bloom matures.

 

Group exhibition at Space2b

 Very happy to have installed our group exhibition called 

CONNECTIONS  at Space2b at 144 Chapel St, St Kilda. 

We are four friends, very different styles, working in different mediums, but the exhibition looks very coherent.

The intimate  gallery is behind a social enterprise shop selling beautiful handmade items created by refugees and local designers. It is a great place, so warm and welcoming.

The exhibition opening is on Thursday November 10th at 6pm

This is the mental map of the neighbourhood that I formed during my daily walks during the long lockdown. I have made it very colourful to counter the grey memories of that ling winter
