Naples day 10 Certosa di San Martino

Set up by Carthusian monks in the 15th century...this complex which includes  a church,  a museum,  gardens  and living quarters that have been amended over the years. It houses a remarkable selection of paintings, sculptures and crib scenes.
The collection of cribs or presepe, is headed by that of Michele Cucinello. It is huge and magnificent.
The group of buildings making up the Certosa is set high on a hill overlooking Naples.
